I’m a bit bummed out cause after 2 uses on the heavy bag I saw signs of wear on my right glove(Peices pealing off).
Super fun colors, but the 16 oz. Gloves are definitely noticeably larger than other brands
I weigh between 125- 130lbs and I bought these gloves in the 14oz size in Spring of 2026 for light, playful Muay Thai sparring. They are my first pair of real leather Muay Thai gloves and I find them to be lovely! I am a Muay Thai hobbyist with about 7 months of experience, and I train 3-5 times per week.
They have a very comfortable hand compartment that molded nicely to my hands, and they are easy to keep clean. They started a little tight and stiff, but adapted within a few minutes of breaking them in. They had lots of room for my long fingers, and my hands felt supported without feeling cramped.
The ventilation seems to be better than what I felt from my last pair of gloves, which were a cheap set of synthetics. Another thing is that the mesh in these Top Kings seems to be facing the wrong way for optimal wicking (i.e., I always thought that the deep holes side of the mesh should face the fighter’s skin to best wick away moisture), but maybe they designed it like that so that the mesh wouldn’t hold too much sweat.
My sparring partners seem to appreciate how pillowy the gloves are, and the large surface area helps the punches land a little more spread out. The other thing about their pillowy punching surface is that they give the wearer a lot of protection, which reduces feedback to the hands (and might make it easier to get away with a wider guard).
Clinching is not too difficult in these gloves, although I am still getting used to the large size of them when manoeuvering in the clinch. It doesn’t take too much force to get them open, but they are still a little stiffer than my smaller, cheap, synthetic gloves. The wrist support is flexible enough that clinching feels natural, which I really like.
